Original 1979–80 USA Hockey National Team Jacket Patch

Rare Original 1979-80 USA hockey national team warm up training jacket patch

This patch was used on the training jackets of the members of the 1980 USA hockey team including other national team members during their pre-olympic tour as they traveled all over the nation playing exhibition matches against professional teams, college teams including the Russian national team aka the 1980 Winter Olympics Russian hockey team at Madison Square Garden.

Many of the national team Collectibles made their way to Lake Placid as they were worn by members and team trainers, doctors, coaches and Olympic committee members also by family members brought with them upon their arrival to the 1980 Winter Olympic Games. A lot of these items were left behind as most of the players were hosted by the people of Lake Placid and stayed with them at their homes during the 1980 Winter Olympics.

This patch is used and was previously mounted. Most people aren't familiar with these patches and and are only familiar with pictures of the 1980 USA hockey team wearing their Olympic attire during the 1980 Winter Olympics here in Lake Placid.

Patch measures 2-3/8 wide x 4-3/4 high
